1.Where is GSFC University located?

GSFC University is located in lush green campus of Fertilizernagar, Vadodara (Pin: 391 750). This allows easy access to University students and faculties to GSFC’s 22 plants situated in less than one KM radius. Also, it helps in keeping bond between University and industry alive. It enables in exposing students to work place environment frequently and to make them industry ready.

2. What is the status of GSFC University?

GSFC University has been established as a Private University under Gujarat Private University Act 2009, as amended by Second amendment 2014 and notified on December 19, 2014 by the Govt. of Gujarat. Click here

GSFC University is authorized to award degrees, diplomas or grant certificates as per relevant sections of Gujarat Private University Act 2009 & first statute approved by Govt. of Gujarat.

GSFC University being a private University incorporated under the State Act as mentioned above, is covered under section 2(f) of UGC Act as University.

Section 22 of University Grants Commission Act 1956, also authorizes this University to grant degrees as it is established by a State Act. UGC has listed GSFC University on its website as a Private University.

The Graduates passing out from the GSFC University can apply for UPSC posts of Govt. of India (refer FAQ section, Q. 35; www.upsc.gov.com); CAT (refer CAT Eligibility section, cdn.digialm.com); GATE, Govt. of Gujarat posts and any other Private or Public sector undertakings.

3.Accreditations of the University?

NAAC Accreditation has been made mandatory by Govt. of Gujarat and will certainly approach NAAC on becoming eligible for applying for accreditation. As per the NAAC requirement, the University can apply for Accreditation after passing out of first batch with all relevant documents.    

4. What is the fee structure?

The University’s engineering stream fee is regulated by FRC of Gujarat, who have already conducted inspection and fixed the fees, which can be seen on ACPC web site. The fee structure for other streams is updated on University web site regularly based on Board of Management approvals.

5.Dates for filling admission forms for both category (Pan India & ACPC)?

ACPC website www.jacpcldce.ac.in  will provide to you the dates for their admissions process. For PAN India, please check our website and watch for updates.

6.How to apply for admission as there is no highlight in ACPC book?

ACPC has registered as under NEW institutes on their website and you need to check on their website to ascertain the admission process. We have provided the link to their site on our Admissions → Undergraduate on our website. The PDF document provides the Institution Code. You can also check for the Institution Code in our Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fee document under Admissions → Undergraduate.

7.Hostel facility is available?

Yes, a developed, safe and secured hostel facility with mess is available within the GSFC Fertilizernagar Township for girls. An off-campus (within 1 kilometer range) safe hostel facility with mess is available for boys. Both the hostel facilities are Wi-Fi enabled and well furnished with entertainment, food and other facilities.

8.Admissions through JEE Main?

Please check the website for admissions in PAN India quota. ACPC regulates the admissions for quota within the state of Gujarat. Please check their website www.jacpcldce.ac.in for details.

10.Are the B.E programmes of the GSFC University approved by the AICTE?

GSFC University has been setup under Gujarat State private Universities act 2009. AICTE approval is not required for a University to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Honorable Supreme Court judgment in the case of BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR vs. ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS. 11.What is the refund policy for cancellation of admission to various programmes?

GSFC University’s refund policy is designed on the basis of circular GH/SH/14/2015/PVS dated 8th May 2015 by Education Department, Sachivalaya, and Gandhinagar. In case of any admission cancelled before the commencement of classes, students will be refunded fees after deducting Rs.1000/- towards administrative cost. Any admission cancelled after the commencement of classes shall not be entitled for refund of fees. Fees will be refunded in case the University has exercised the waiting list to fill the particular seat. The decision of the management of the GSFC University shall be final in all cases of fee refund.

12.What are the documents required at the time of application and admission?

  • Mark-sheet of H.S.C. or equivalent examination
  • School leaving certificate / Transference certificate from school last attended
  • Score card of JEE / UGAT examination as applicable for course selected
  • Certificate of belonging to SC / ST / SEBC with non-creamy layer
  • Migration certificate from previous institution for such students who are already admitted in other colleges and universities
  • Proof of residential address (one of the following):
    • Election ID Card,
    • Aadhar Card
    • Ration Card
    • Passport

13.What is the medium of instruction and examination in the GSFC University?

Medium of instruction and examination at the GSFC University in English. The students desiring to enhance their English communication skills will be provided additional inputs through arrangement with Cambridge English (India) and SCOPE, Govt. of Gujarat programmes.

14.What is the system of students’ evaluation at the GSFC University?

The GSFC University follows a semester system with 10 point grading system as per UGC guidelines wherein each semester will have Semester Grade Points Aggregate SGPA on the basis of credit and points earned in each course and CGPA on cumulative performance throughout the academic tenure from all the courses. Grading in a course is based on continuous evaluation throughout the semester which involves mid-semester test, quiz, assignments, projects, practical evaluation and end-semester examination.

15.Are sports facilities available on the campus?

Yes, the advanced facilities for playing badminton, cricket, basketball, volleyball, swimming, chess, carom etc. are available on the campus. Besides, the students will have the opportunity to be trained by recognized coaches and national and international players of the game through the GSFC Ltd.’s sports department on chargeable basis.

16.Are medical facilities available on the campus?

Yes, the GSFC Ltd.’s Medical Centre with qualified Doctors and facilities serves the students and staff for medical assistance and emergencies.

17.What are the other facilities available for students on the campus?

The following facilities are available on the campus for students:

19.What are the transport facilities for University?

The University campus can be reached by public transport from Vadodara city. All the buses going to Dashrath village can be used for this purpose.The University also runs buses on limited routes on chargeable basis as per University timing.
